Wheelchair Description:
At last a wheelchair with a brain! The ingenious design of the Tailwind supplements the users' own strength with virtually no effort. At a rate of 200 times per second, the Tailwind's intelligent controller measures input and speed and distance travelled.
This results in motion being maintained regardless of the terrain, keeping the wheelchair going straight even when the wheels are on different surfaces, for example one on grass the other on tarmac.
With the Tailwind you can effortlessly tackle highly challenging surfaces such as long grass and rough tracks. The Tailwind also handles descents with equal ease and safety - even down steep slopes the user feels under control and safe.
